海灣上平坦沙灘延續1.5km，

分南礁、中礁及北礁

南礁為寧靜看山海區

中礁為海水浴場區

北礁則為成功富山護魚、親子餵魚生態區

With a great location against the Dulan mountain and closed to the Pacific, Shanyuan Beach not only showed its extraordinary terrain on Taiwanese map but is an excellent place with 1.5 km-long sandy beach, which can be divided into three areas: northern reef (Shanyuan-Fushun fish recovery area), middle reef (Shanyuan Seawater Bathing Spot )and southern reef(scenic observation area).

 “With a great diversity of intertidal area, Shanyuan Beach is famous for its ecological environment. Taking a 10-minute walk along the beach, you will observe different types of geologies such as mud basin, algal reef and coral reef. 杉原海湾は都蘭山太平洋に面しており、台湾地図の上からもはっきりとその内側の凹んでいる特質が見えます。湾の上の平らなビーチは1.5Kmほどの続いており、南礁、中礁及び北礁に分かれています。現在、南礁は静かに山と海が見える区域、中礁は海水浴場区、北礁は成功富山護魚、親子餵魚生態区です。

 「……杉原湾は多様化な棲息環境があり、台湾周辺海域では独特、唯一の生態であるかもしれません。海岸線沿いを歩行して10分程で泥エリア、藻礁、珊瑚礁、中礁の珊瑚礁と南礁の藻礁が観察できます。上記のこれら豊富な生息地の種類は生態上における杉原湾の重要性を示す証です。」
